Here's my character, Baris. Human Paladins start off armed with a big wooden hammer, but ye olde rusty shovel is more deadly; just look out, those edges might be sharp.
I thought it would be cool to show a bit of combat. Let you see what things look like when you're playing. So, I decided to attack this small fish monster. They're not too much trouble.
What I hadn't counted on was that fishmen stick up for their homies, and didn't take kindly to my assault....
So.. this is what the afterlife looks like. It's just like normal life, but it's in black and white and it's all misty and stuff. The only people you can see are also dead! Quite spooky.
When you die, you have a few options. The glowing angel on the left there will bring you back to life in the graveyard, but there's a price to pay. In exchange for the exertion of her powers over life and death she wants to break all your belongings...now, broken stuff can be repaired so, it's not that harsh, but I don't think I'll ever understand the strange movements of the divine.
The second option is that you can run back to your corpse, and reanimate on the spot where you collapsed. This is usually the easiest option, and the trip is never too far.
The third option only applies if you have powerful friends. Apparently they can cast a spell of resurrection and return you to life on the spot. I've never met anyone with this ability, but that's the rumor I hear.
This was the first major city I encountered, Stormwind City. This amazing display of statuary does little justice to the interesting city districts you can explore.
There's not really a need to, but before I log out I like to take Baris to an inn where he can lie down on a giant sized bed for a nap.
